Homeschooling PE

Every school in the US is closed at the moment and may not open back up this year. For parents who haven’t ever taught children this is a overwhelming and frighting time. Not, only do you have to make sure they get there Core Classes done but also PE.

Were blessed as my house backs up to a City Park and we can go and walk but the kids can’t play on the play ground. For little children they don’t understand why. David and ALyssa have been looking for ways to keep Lily and Jason busy and outside for abit each day.

I stopped by Walgreens on my way home and picked up BIG SURF Orange Smash Ball 3 In 1 Toy Frisbee, Rubber String Ball, & Smash Ball Catch and Walmart Flying Disk Lite Up Rad Flyer, Part No. 1023 by Ja-Ru Inc., Spring Frisbee for Lily and Jason to play with this evening. I hope Lily and Jason like these and use them. If not I can give them to Charlie as he Homeschool’s year round.

I let Glenda and Charlie know I needed to run up to the Dollar Store to pick up chalk for Lily and Jason so we could play outside. Charlie said hold on Aunt Debbie let me show you what Granny got me because Lily and Jason would like my chalk kit Granny purchase from Walmart.

My favorite feature of the PlayDay 84 Pieces Ultimate Sidewalk Chalk is that it comes with enough chlakk for the entire family. In colors everyone would enjoy using. Allowing us to create all kinds of art to decorate our sidewalks with.

Inside PlayDay 84 Pieces Ultimate Sidewalk are chalk holders the kids hands can use to keep there hands clean. What fun is that? When we all like to make hand prints and footprints with the chalk. Or at least Lily and Jason does. Charlie to if truth is told but being 12 he might not admit it.

PlayDay 84 Pieces Ultimate Sidewalk is the perfect kit for those of us Homeschooling our children as we can do Spelling List, Math problems and even write stories or draw out Art pictures for Art class. Or join in drawing hearts to remind our neighbors were thinking of them.

Back to the Roots

Jason called Charlie the other day and let him know he was bored and wanted to play Basketball. But we can’t get outside and visit Charlie and his family. Charlie told Jason he was working on his Club House and planting a Garden.

Back to the Roots

Charlie’s neighbor Mary gave him Flower Seeds. Charlie let Jason know he had Organic Mushrooms he had gotten at Christmas . Glenda and Charlie are going to plant them in front of the Clubhouse. Once they get a fence built so the dogs can’t get to them.

Charlie asked Jason if I would stop by on my way home from work . Charlie said he would give me part of the Mushroom Kits tfor Lily and Jason to plan in our Flower Bed. I just hope there mom and dad will let them outside to plant the Mushrooms.

This afternoon when I stopped by Charlie’s to pick up the Mushrooms Charlie left the box outside for me to see with Ziplock Bags so I could take a handful of the Soil. Charlie reminded me not to tear the box as he can grow his in the box which is safer than going outside.

I liked finding out everything Charlie would need is inside the box and writing down the directions didn’t take long. The only thing Lily and Charlie will need is a Spray Bottle to mist the plants with. Which we have for the cats.

I can’t wait to see how fast the Mushrooms grow and once there done we can use them in recipes which you can find at I asked Jason and Lily what they could like to prepare and they said they didn’t know.

I told them we should make a Salad or Hamburgers and invite there Uncle David over because he loves Mushrooms. When I asked Charlie what he was going to make he said Fried Mushrooms for his dad.

Alyssa and David were surprised to find out one box had Pink Mushrooms in it which they hadn’t ever seen and neither had I. Did you know you can find hundred’s of different colored Mushrooms in the Forest including Glow In The Dark Mushrooms. Charlie shared with me Organic Mushroom Grow Kit with Activity Books inside for the kids to work on.

Winning Moves Bouncing Bingo

My mom loved playing Bingo when she was alive and one of my goals is to share the things she liked to do with Lily and Jason. My sister Glenda from TheMommiesReviews.com contacts reviews for companies including Winning Moves Games Bouncing Bingo she received in exchange for a review.

Glenda showed me the game the other day and discussed how her and Charlie use Board Games in there Homeschool. As she was talking she reminded me Spring Break will be here soon. I would like to pick up Bouncing Bingo for Lily and Jason to play during Spring Break.

With Lily asking to have a Family Picnic with Charlie and his family we could pack a sack lunch and bring different Board Games, Jump Ropes and Frisbee’s and also a Soccer Ball and spend the day at the park.

To make sure we are all in the moment and spending time together I am going to ask everyone to leave there phones and tablets at home. This way we do not get distracted and spend time together like in the old days before Cell Phones was around.

Bouncing Bingo is the perfect game for children 4+ which means even Lily can play and shouldn’t have to have help. I like how there is no reading required in playing Bouncing Bingo because this will keep the kids on there toes as they can create stories while playing Bouncing Bingo.

I also liked knowing there was no, cards to use with this Bingo Game just a ball which is how the game got it’s name. There is animals and the kids and I can discuss different facts about the Animals turning this into a learning.

I wish my mom was here because I know Crazy Mimi (yes, that is her name) would have liked seeing the kids land on the Cow Patties. I can’t wait to see what Lily and Jason this about this part of the game and Charlie to.

I wonder which animal Lily and Jason will like the most. I know Glenda would like the pig or the goat. I think Charlie would like the Duck because of his sister Suzzane. I like the kitten and Charlie’s dad would like the Chicken because Glenda and I had one as a child and loves hearing Glenda tell stories about Dumb Cluck.

Preview:

This is Bingo with a fun twist! One by one players take turns bouncing the special ball into the Bingo platform. When the ball lands in one of the animal spots, you place a chip on your card, on that same animal. The first player to get four chips in a row has bounced their way to a Bingo and wins! Bouncing Bingo will help children with hand eye coordination, small motor skills, animal and name picture recognition and turn taking.

Mochi Robotic Kit

No photo description available.

My grandsons Birthday is next month along with Valentines Day and I know I needed to find a Birthday present for Jason’s Birthday. The question I had was what do you purchase for a 6 year old who has everything or at least it seems that way.

If Jason doesn’t have everything he wanted with Christmas just passing I knew he would get the rest for his Birthday. Toys?? No, he has to many and doesn’t even play with half of them. A Gift Card to a Movie or Adventure Park? No, because his parents take him there.

Electronics no, because he has his own tablet. Movies, no they watch Netflx and don’t like to have movies because they take up space in there home. Art Supplies? No, they have enough to open there own store.

I decided I wanted to get Jason something Jason could learn from. I thought of Cooking Supplies but wasn’t sure he would use them. I thought of workbooks but Jason goes to school and gets enough Homework so that was out.

Along with a Valentines Day Gift for Lily. My sister was reviewing Moochi with her grandson Elijah and my nephew Charlie who is using Moochi in his Homeschooling class. Charlie told me he was learning coding and he wasn’t on the Electronics all the time. I knew Moochi would be the perfect Gift for Jason and Lily.

Kid Mania

My family will be visiting Disney Land this week. Once we get back the kids have been asking to return to Kid Mania or Alley Cats. With Lily’s Birthday at the end of the month I need to help her parents plan a Birthday party for Lily.

Once we return home Alyssa and I will be checking out Party packages at Alley Cats and Kid Mania. In the meantime I know my sister is planning on hosting another event at Kid Mania for Bloggers and Homeschooling Families. I asked Glenda to send me a copy of the calendar which I could share with my friends and family.

Alyssa and I we know a lot of small children that would love coming to play at Kid Mania in Maze Mania. If things work out the way I hope they do I may even go into the Maze Mania with the kids.

I would climb in Maze Mania with my nephew Charlie but he said he didn’t know if he was going to play in Maze Mania because his dad said they could play games upstairs in the Arcade Mania.

I did ask my sister what she was going to do that night and she let me know once she finishes using the Massage Chair upstairs in the Adult area she would be working as she needed to catch up on her blog.

Glenda and I chatted and I reminded her she was wanting to start a Networking Group and had been trying to figure out where to host the event at. I reminded her we could do the event her at Kid Mania in Alliance and if we wanted to venture into new areas we could check out Kid Mania in Plano and Lewisville.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates

iFly

My sister comes up with crazy out of the box ways to promote her businesses at times. When Glenda does she decides she to drag her family and friends along. Which is what I would like to say happened with iFly. Although this time it was my nephew who wanted to go to iFly .

Like any good mom my sister works hard to fulfill Charlie and his friends dreams. While finding places she can bring her family to as well. For my sister when your talking about her family that includes the bloggers, Homeschooling Families and Direct Sellers or Small Based Businesses she works with.

Here we are learning how to Fly

When my sister host events for her Blog I try and come support her because most of the events are fun. The first event Glenda held was at Alley Cats in Hurst, Texas. Or the next event which will be held at Kid Mania in Alliance.

I was hoping my family would join me at iFly where we could have flown together as a group. Although they were busy saving kittens. More on that adventure later. When I arrived at iFly my nephew Charlie was so excited to see me.

Charlie thought I was going to fly with him. Which I had thought about doing especially after I saw my ex husband Rodney being suited up to fly. If Rodney could do it then I should be able to.

iFly blessed us with dinner and I made the mistake of eating before I flew. Because I had been at work all that day and hadn’t had a chance to eat. Not eating was causing my head to hurt.

Although, if I had been smarter I would have saved my Pizza for after I flew but I wasn’t thinking and I went ahead and ate. Then they asked us to Suit Up but by then I was afraid I might get sick so I watched everyone else.

Rodney getting ready to fly.

I wanted to know what to expect the next time I come out to iFly so I went ahead and took the class they hold for everyone. Then I watched the video. The instructor was so patient and took the time to answer everyone’s questions. He worked hard to calm anyone’s fears. Then he handed us over to Logan our flight instructor.

After seeing the way Logan worked with everyone and seeing them fly I new I wanted to fly and I couldn’t wait to get home and ask my family to come back with me.

When I return I plan on taking Jason and Lily my grandchildren because children 3 and up can fly and I know they would enjoy being in the air and I’m PRAYING my son David and his wife Alyssa will join me.

The 4 Musketeers Charlie, Aiden, Kyle and John

I would like to let you know David has flown in the past when his company took them to iFly for a team building event. David, said the day after flying he was sore but no, one that flew with us was. I believe David was because he is out of shape.

Seeing the smaller children flying that day has kept me from being afraid for Lily and Jason to try iFly . I even saw a little boy who was y 3. It was so fun watching him fly and for him to tell us about flying once he finished.

My nephew Charlie is afraid of heights and because his friends were flying Charlie flew the regular flight. When Charlie finished the 1 minute flight he said next time he would like to try out the High Flight.

My sister talking to Jason about iFly and Charlie waiting not so patiently to fly.

If my sister were still Homeschooling Charlie full time there is iFly Stem Homeschool Day on June 5th. Glenda could have brought Charlie although he has returned to public school. I’m proud to say Charlie will be in Middle School next year. Where did the time go?

My grandson Jason will be in Public School next year or we could join iFly Stem Homeschool Day if we were going to Homeschool Jason and Lily. But his parents have decided he should go to Kindergarten in a public school

We would be able to bring Lily because Alyassa and I could teach her at home to help prepare her for school next year because Lily should be in Pre-School but there wasn’t a spot for her in the public school by her home.

iFly decorated the party room to match the colors on my sisters blog TheMommiesReviews.com before she changed it.

I wish iFly offered a Mother’s Day Out program because Alyssa and Lily could go. When Jason is older he will be in Boy Scouts and be able to come out. We can visit iFly any time of the year with a group of friends or family and I would invite my Church family if we had a group of younger people. But the people in my Church are older.

In the meantime have you been to iFly? If so what did you think of iFly? If you haven’t been but would like to check out iFly let them know TheMommiesReviews.com or Glenda Cates sent you.

I have one more favor to ask you would you share this post with your friends and family. Please use these Hashtags this way iFly knows you saw the post from us.

If you would like to learn more about our adventures then you should check out my sister Glenda post here.

Or our friend Tara C. Todd’s post.
