When we were kids we always wanted to be older ya know grown up….. boy if we only knew!!! I want to make as many memories and take as many pictures as I can. Cause in a blink of an eye kids grow up to fast! And the parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and all the great and great they leave us. It’s hard to hold on to the old traditional family get togethers. Everyone is just so busy that theres no time to set on the porch or take time to make mud pies. Oh how I miss those days! I remember when I was young and was pregnant with my son( whose in the flash shirt) time flies!!!
So many of us are so busy we only take time when someone is getting married, seriously ill, or has passed on. It shouldn’t be like that. One of my cousins is trying to put together a family reunion – it’s an uphill battle. I’ve done two of them (a smallish family, but even that was a lot of work) and I wish her luck.

Best of luck to her. I hope she can get it together for the family. I miss going to them I remember only a few from when I was growing up.

Your title sparked my interest! I will be 71 years old in March (now that is getting old!) BUT I may grow old but I refuse to grow up! LOL I blame that on my 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, I always feel like a kid when I’m around them! Don’t worry about getting old, it’s just a number.

I hope that you can find some time to set on the porch with your family and make mud pies! Or sand castles on a beach somewhere!
